One product, one data model.
Dawaco Phrea™, the new version of Dawaco, keeps your entire monitoring network in one record. The map, the well construction, validation, import and delivery to the Dutch Key Register of the Subsurface (BRO) all read and write the same data. Nothing is exported in between, so there is no second version of the truth.
Why one data model
Record it once, get the same answer everywhere
In many monitoring networks the same piezometer lives in three or four systems: a database for the levels, a spreadsheet for the well details, a modelling package holding last year's export and a separate tool for the BRO. Each copy goes out of date at a different moment. Ask a question and you get the answer of whichever system you happen to open.
Phrea works the other way round. Data management, time-series modelling and the AI assistant share one data model. The series you validate is the series the time-series model reads, the assistant uses and the BRO document is built from. A correction made on Monday is visible everywhere on Monday.
That is not an integration project you have to maintain yourself. It is how the product is built: the successor to Dawaco GW, Datalab and BROLab, built on thirty years of domain knowledge.

Your whole network on one map
Wells, piezometers, pumping wells and salinity monitors share one map. Choose a regulatory framework and you see at once which points exceed the standard.

The well as it sits in the ground
A groundwater level is only as reliable as the reference point it was measured against. That is why Phrea records the well itself, from ground level to screen, and calculates every level against the right reference point, even years back.
Well construction, reference points and NAP
Screens, ground level and heights relative to Dutch Ordnance Datum (NAP) in the same record as the measurements. When something changes at a well, your series stays right and a level never shifts silently.
Maintenance
Reports, work orders and preventive plans for wells and equipment, in the same record as the measurements.
Pumping wells
See a well decline before production notices
See when a well is declining and whether a regeneration helped, before production suffers.
Your measurement stays your measurement
Correct without throwing anything away
A logger drifts, a casing is shortened, a reading is copied wrongly. Phrea corrects such errors without you ever losing the original measurement. What you approved yesterday, you can justify tomorrow.
- The raw measurement is always kept. You can always see what was originally measured.
- Every correction carries a reason. Whoever looks later sees why.
- Always reversible. A correction is never a one-way street.
- Anomalies are found for you. Automatic checks and an AI review point them out; the hydrologist decides.
- Following the protocol you use. Phrea supports the eight QC protocols recognised by the BRO.
- No silent overwrites. Two colleagues never overwrite each other unnoticed.

Import any supplier file safely, and undo it when you need to.
So a wrong file never slips into your network unnoticed.

Frequently asked questions about the platform
What does “one data model” mean in practice?
That data management, time-series modelling and the AI assistant use the same data. You export nothing to another package, so a correction or a new reading is the same everywhere straight away.
Is my raw measurement ever overwritten?
No. The raw measurement is always kept. Every correction carries a reason and can be undone.
Which files can I import?
The files your suppliers and loggers deliver. Every import is safe and can be undone.
Where does Phrea run?
As SaaS on Microsoft Azure in Europe, or on your own server. Your data stays in the EU.
When is Phrea available?
Dawaco Phrea™ is available from October 2026. It is the successor to Dawaco GW, Datalab and BROLab.
